THANK YOU ROUND MIDNIGHT
I was invited to join Round Midnight, a seven piece jazz band of talented musicians who love to perform classic jazz standards, in 2006. It was my introduction to being a jazz vocalist. In the nine years I spent with the band, we performed at numerous significant events, including the Regina Jazz and the Saskatchewan Jazz Festivals, and I have learned a great deal about performing, about professionalism, and about jazz. There is no doubt that my time spent with Round Midnight has significantly influenced and enriched my artistic development. I will be leaving Round Midnight at the end of 2014 to pursue other musical directions, but will always be grateful for my time with this locally renowned group. I would like to thank in particular the founding members, Ross Purse and Bob Firnesz, for inviting me into the band and putting up with me all these years.
