Soul Sisters Annual Concerts for YWCA Women's Shelters
Inspired by Shelley Hoffman, owner of The Room Hair Salon, working in conjunction with the YWCA, the Soul Sisters concerts have been taking place every May in Regina since 2003, always with the objective of raising funds to support the YWCA shelters for women and children. I was on the planning committee for the very first Soul Sisters concert, and over the next decade performed at seven annual Soul Sisters Concerts. The Thirteenth Annual Soul Sisters Concert was held in May 2015.
